| Description | I would like to use bugscope to look at varous adaptations that aquatic insects (mouth parts, legs, body plan etc. and compare those to other insects. Pictures taken by other schools and our own will be used. Students will also be considering how these specific adaptations play a role in the insects survivability as well as prey capture and escape. The classes that will be participaing in bugscope are split nearly 50/50 male/female. 30%African American, 60%caucausian, 10%Asian. All students have equal access to all ther resources at the school and in the classroom. Students are grouped heterogeneously in their science classes. Since I am the building level coordinator for science I plan on sharing this with the other teachers in the building and district at science dept. meetings. |
