Project

Title Creek life
Insects as listed above-macroinvertebrate
Description This was the first year I did activities on our creek. We have a wonderful access to a natural creek next to our school. We have spent about two weeks doing water testing and collecting macroinvertebrate life in the creek. I would love to be included in this program. I think students learn from their experiences more than anything. That is why it is so important to do these wonderful projects. Our principle is very supportive of this type of learning. I feel that if the students are also involved with the creek and life in it, they may respect it more. They take a sence of ownership, because of their knowledge. I hope you concider us in your group. We offer a wonderful area and would love to share with you and everyone! We have mostly boys this year. Next year, it may be different. I try to do as many activities to keep them going. Learning needs to still be fun. Thank you, Michelle Hartman
