| Description | The main purpose for the project is to ignite an interest in reading in all subect areas. Our students will read from a computer screen about interesting and foreign information but are very reluctant to research facts in a standard textbook or library. After being steered to an addtitional source like yours, the students learn reading can be something more than drudgery. It can be a great deal of fun and rewarding. A project useing the microscope and computers would also encourage them to learn more about insects on their own in addition to follow up activities in our class. Our class would be able to view any image on a large screen using an LCD projector. This would enable the maximum number of students to view this new world at once. |
