| Description | Our second and third grade students have units that include butterflies, insects and plant growth. This would be a wonderful extension activity. We are part of a Howard Huges county wide grant to receive new microscopes for our fourth and fifth grade students. The miscroscope unit could be greatly enhanced using this web site. Along with our PTA we are hoping to establish a Butterfly Garden in an inner court yard. All these activities could incorporate BugScope. As science liasion, I am working to encourage and implement a stronger science program. The state testing performance task frequently involve the use of real life science situations, any experience the students can take advantage of could improve their state performance. |
