Project

Title Bugapalooza
Insects Any
Description Bugapalooza is a big celebration of bugs, and is one of the Nature Museum's main events of the year. Over the course of the evening, guests have the opportunity to get up close to many Midwestern and exotic species. We will have live insects as well as scientific specimens. We would use a Bugscope session as one of the event activities/attractions. One of our trained museum educators will facilitate the session, engaging with guests and handling communication between guests and the Bugscope team. Bugscope would be a wonderful opportunity for our participating kids and adults to engage with a research lab and be able to ask lots of questions while seeing a view of bugs that they don't usually have access to. Since the whole event is a celebration of bugs, Bugscope fits in perfectly. Our goal at the museum is to build positive connections between people and nature, and Bugscope would help us achieve that.
