Title | Jordan Bank Science - Animals Two by Two |
Insects | Pill Bugs and Sow Bugs |
Description | We use 3 units of the Foss science program for Kindergarten. One of our units is Animals Two by Two. This unit includes several lessons on Pill Bugs and Sow Bugs. In the lessons, the students are presented with a diagram of the bugs where many of the key parts are labeled. We also lead them through lessons on similarities and differences between the two bugs. Bugscope would be PERFECT for showing the students much greater detail on the structure of the two bugs helping them to better understand similarities and differences. Further, the detail on the structure might help them understand behaviors of the bugs. As you say on your website, the "WOW" factor alone for kindergarteners is reason enough to look at these critters via an SEM!!!! |
Where did you hear about Bugscope? | My friend, Patrick Mather, a professor and director of the Biomaterials Institute at Syracuse University, sent me a link to your website. |
