Description | We have adopted the FOSS science program for all schools in LAUSD. We study the darkling beetle stages of life in our classroom starting at the worm stage. Although the students explore with their hand held magnifying glasses, the observations are limited by the magnification and movement. Though exploring with this supermagnification, they would gain deeper knowledge of the stucture and complexity of the insect. This is the type of rigor that goes beyond the initial investigation |
