| Description | We will take the children to collect their own bugs two weeks prior to the bugscope session.
Subsequently, we will mail those bugs and hope they will be of good enough quality. The Bugscope session will be "exploratory" in the sense that the children will determine what we will spend most of our time on. However, there are some things we want the children to see such as the structure of an compound eye, the large amount of setae covering an insects body (especially antennas), and possibly the appearance of different mouth parts (e.g. proboscis of a butterfly, mouth part of ants). |
