| Description | My microscopy class is taught in a Science, Math and Technology Center in the county. Because all students may apply to this center, the class is ethnically and racially diverse, with 4 males and 8 females although all students have interest in the Science and Math areas. As part of the this microscopy class students have learned about all types of microscopes and their applications. They have studied extensively with the light microscope and its applications and uses. This project will allow students to virtually run the SEM and obtain pictures as if we had one here so students may conpare the importance of this type of microscopy and it wider ranging applications. Digital pictures will then be used further and modified as they experiment with digital modifying software. I will present the student projects to the county science specialist and pass the use of this site to other science teachers in the county. |
