Project

Title Nanoscience for Teachers
Insects Couple of small green bugs (sorry, don't know their names!), and 4 to 5 nanomaterial samples
Description (I'd previously discussed my project with Scott Robinson and Dan Weber in March) I'm running an online course for teachers this summer about Nanoscience. We're showing them how it may be incorporated to their classrooms, and really would like to show them your BugScope project. We know their students would absolutely love this project, and want to make sure the teachers know about it. We'd also like them to have the opportunity to view other samples (besides bugs) on an SEM. So far, I have two nanomaterial samples: Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes (MWNTs) on Silicon, and Europium Oxide (EuO) on a “Lacey Carbon” TEM grid. I'm hoping to get 3 or so more materials similar to this for the teachers to view under your SEM. I also have two small green bugs we'd like to view.
