Description | The purpose of this particular session would be to provide an inservice opportunity for our middle school Science teachers who would then be able to schedule their own session with their students at a later date. We will have a dozen life science teachers and no students in the session. Each teacher would have an opportunity to use the scope controller. Ours is a district of mid to upper socio-economic status. We have a very high student-computer ratio in our schools. We have two computer labs and two wireless laptop carts in each of our two middle schools. Students are predominantly white. We have a growing population of students from Eastern European origin. We have a smaller population of Asian and African American students. We have recently hosted an initiative to encourage girls to pursue studies and careers in Science and Technology. |
