| Description | \tI would like to use Bugscope with my 2nd grade class. Last April, one of our 1st grade classes participated in your Bugscope program (#2000-006), which was a fabulous hit with the students and even the local media. My class has expressed a great deal of interest for a repeat performance using the electron microscope. We voted for our "favorite" bug-a centipede. As a group project, we would like to construct a collage of electron microscope images showing all the parts of the centipede. This collage will be displayed for the entire school to view. It is always important to motivate the students to learn, and using Bugscope is a perfect opportunity to foster that motivation. With our new computer lab facility, we will also make the Bugscope site readily accessible for the whole school to view our project, as well as all previous Bugscope projects. \tAs our 1st grade teacher stated last year, "Although not all of these children will become scientists, they will remember this experience for a lifetime." |
