| Description | We will be doing a water quality project for 10th grade biology students. We will be doing chemical analysis on local water sources. We would like to particpate in the Bugscope project so that we can view that macroinvertebrates that we will be utilized as indicator species for Ozark water quality. One of our major objectives is to introduce studnets to as much technology in our science classes as possible. The opportunity to participate in the Bugscope should fulfill this objective and will also increase interest in the environmental issues that we will be studying. We are in a rural agricultural area with concerns of chicken hog and cattle operations causing runoff pollution. This will be one more way to utilize technology to make local science relevant to our students. |
