Description My name is Dean Nelson, I have been a Tennessee Teacher since 1992, my work experiences with adolescents in and out-of-the classroom have been in the core subjects of Science, Math, English, and History. I teach throughout Middle Tennessee school populations and have observed besides the tools, (i.e., the Super Information Highway, CD-ROM interactive programs, and educational field trips),"hands-on" science activities seem to work best with students increasing their learning productivity while in the classroom, and later as transferred as life skills or applied inventory experiences. Hence, your program and this present application of Richland Village School of Nashville, Tennessee, to be considered as a successful applicant for the BUGSCOPE 1999 School Participation Project is now submitted. We visted the Nashville Centennial Park looking for our centimeter size specimens. We have located a cricket, (approximately 1 cm) and have placed it into an empty 35mm KODAK film canister which will be mailed out to the Beckman Institute upon acceptance of our proposal.
