Insects To Study < LEFT BLANK >
Project Description Discovery Science Day at Washington Elementary . Entirely organized from volunteer parents for a 2nd year on the row. Main goal is - introduce science to kids /ages 6 to 12 / and have fun. By education I am Biologist and I have vivid memories looking insects and bacteria under microscope at young age. I belief that exposing kids to science in particular to microscopy it will intrigue their curiosity and imagination. Last year we had over 200 kids attending. We manage to do over 7-8 different sessions of 1/2 hour ranging from mad chemistry, extraction of strawberry DNA to semiconductors.Additional to that we had over 20 exhibits like robots,magnets,acid-base,polymers.
