The Project

Project Title Specialized Adaptations
Insects To Study Tick, Mite, or aquatic insect
Project Description We hope to use the Bugscope as part of our Animal Diversity unit. We will be looking specifically at adaptations that allow specialized organisms to be successful within their environment. We hope to have a Tick or Mite, or a small aquatic insect. (Whichever the students are brave enough to try to catch.) We chose these as they have specialized anatomy that we can observe and discuss. Having this type of technology available to our students will expose them to a view of the natural world that they would otherwise miss out on.

Where did you hear about Bugscope? I found this site as I was searching the web for ideas to integrate technology into our study of animal life.
