Project Description GirlTech participants will collect bugs from Rice University's grounds on June 18 and send them to BugScope over night. The specimens will include in them a questions the teachers have about the bugs. From the questions, a lesson is designed. How to use the Electron Microscope in the classroom. The participants will learn how to use the controls and select areas of interest to photograph. BugScope will help to guide the educators through the process of using the controls and determining the best photo for Rice University's GirlTech collection. The knowledge gained from the project will encourage the teachers to use BugScope with their students over a variety of topics that may range from math, science, chemistry, physics and art. Also, complete description of how to apply to the project on the BugScope web site will be discussed and demonstrated.
