Insects To Study Any available specimens, Praying Mantis, LadyBug, Beetles, Brazilian TreeHopper?,
Project Description Photography students will be able to learn about Scanning Electron Microscopy and compare this method of imaging to the Macro work they have completed in class. Students will have explored the zoom feature of their lenses, Depth of Field and Focal Limitations due to Aperture Priority. They will have employed Magnifying glasses in addition to the Close-Up Settings available on our cameras and have used the Firefly Wireless Microscope to explore minute details of the world in which we live. When they are introduced to the Bugscope SEM, they will take a step beyond optical lenses and begin to learn about new imaging methods, their application and opportunities for further training.
