The Project

Project Title Why Mosquitoes Buzz
Insects To Study Mosquitoes and other bugs we find
Project Description As part of a unit on microscopes the students learn the history of microscopes and we talk about electron microscopes. This would be a great opportunity for the students to see the differences in the small nonpowered microscopes that we have and your much more powerful one. We also are doing a unit on life cycles and metamorphysis. We will be collecting mosquito larvae, pupae, and adult mosquitoes (both male and female). I have never been able to locate an egg raft. If you have access to one the students would also be interested in seeing that. I would also like to send in any other insects that the students find. How many can we send?
