The Project

Project Title Bugs, Bugs, Everywhere
Insects To Study all kinds
Project Description I am a middle school Specialized Academic Curriculum teacher which means that all of the students that I teach have special needs. We change classes for our academic classes so I teach all of the middle school classes science. With many of the students having physical and/or visual disabilities using a traditional microscope is very difficult for them. I have a SmartBoard Interactive Whiteboard in my classroom so the Bugscope experience can be as big as life for my students. I would like them to be able to experience using the microscope to see all of the different types of bugs that we collect as a class. This ties in perfectly to the NCSCOS objective: The learner will design and conduct investigations to demonstrate an understanding of scientific inquiry for grades 6, 7 and 8.
