Project Title BeeSpace Summer Workshop
Insects To Study honeybees
Project Description I will lead in the offering of BeeSpace workshop. Our 16 participating students will be rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. During the first day students will be introduced to honeybee biology and BeeSpace. Bugscope wil allow participating students to delve into morphological characteristics as well as examine the differences between workers, drones and queens. Later coverage will include visits to hives, an introduction to molecular biology technologies, and discussion regarding Colony Collapse Disorder.
